BIK Supports Art Exhibition Aimed at Uplifting Communities

15th April 2021: Art in the time of COVID exhibition

During the event week, Business Ireland Kenya (BIK) supported the art exhibition held to highlight and uplift Brighter Communities Worldwide’s work in Kenya. 7 Independent Nairobi-based Lady Artists formed a collective to host an Art Exhibition in April part of which, is to raiseawareness and funds for communities hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exhibition sought to raise awareness of the organization’s work in Kericho County focused on providing protection and equal opportunities in life to girls and women. In addition to the awareness campaign, each artist donated a piece of original artwork which was auctioned online during the exhibition week and the funds raised amounting to KES300,000 (2302 EUR) from the exciting event was given directly to Brighter Communities for their program.
